Hello Share Fans. Let’s talk about the money to be gleaned by buying bank shares now. Why? Because they’re the most traded shares on our stock market. And because they’ve been, as predicted by your modest old writer, the most rewarding of punts in the last month. But which is the best bet from here? Or should we even cash in?
Hello Share Chums. This ancient armchair trader has long favoured the robust armchair gaming industry. However, it must be admitted that the market has cooled in its support from the City during the last year or so. That’s probably because all boom markets have to cease back at some stage. Only to recover their momentum later on.
Hello Share Hunter/Gatherers. This ancient punter trawls the market for IT companies that could prosper for you in an ever more complex, but financially exciting, technological word. Today’s offering for your further research is a company called 1Spatial (SPA).
Hello Share Grabbers. This ancient baby boomer is fed up with others in my group. Too many of them buy shares in tobacco companies, arms dealers and firms that still test on animals. Not quite right, in my humble opinion. But what do I know? That off my chest, let me commend to you a company that sells electrical stuff.
Hello Share Wobblers. Victorian Plumbing Group (VIC) is a Merseyside-based company whose name appeals to me as my home has got, well, Victorian plumbing. I must do something about those leaky taps. I’m also thinking of investing here as the company looks to be rather a good bet. Over the last year, Victorian Plumbing's share price has hit a high of 100p. and a low of 65.5p. Currently, it’s around 75p and I see no glaring reason why, with a recovering economy, it can’t reach its old highs.
Hello Share Shufflers. This old punter struggled to find you a deserving, but overlooked, small capper this week. So I return to a well-traded penny share, Lloyds Bank (LLOY). The Black Horse has been galloping ahead, putting on nearly 20% since a low point on February 13th. But it’s still a long way from its post 2008 bank crash best.
Hello Share Mates. Have you ever stopped to consider how much the act of cleaning steals from modern life. Nobody likes talking about it, but it has to be done. I’ve started my spring cleaning early and begrudge every bit of it. But it got me thinking about a cleaning company called React (REAT).
Hello Share Fans. Do you fancy an investment in green energy, but are a bit put off by the unreliability of some denizens of the sector? Then may I suggest a company that invests in existing wind farms and sells the power to utility companies.
Hello Share Tweakers. Today’s article illustrates a Stock Market stratagem. But it’s dead risky and I don't recommend it. However, it’s a speculative ploy that’s sometimes clicked for me over many years. So it’s only fair to tell you about it, while ironically warning you off.
